The Education wing of Maharaja College is the professional college established in the year 2005 to conduct and coordinate programs for the preparation of teachers and other educational personnel for the Nation. Presently the National Council for Teachers Education accredits 100 seats in the college for the preparation of secondary teachers B.Ed., 100 seats for elementary teachers i.e. D.Ed. and 35 seats for M.Ed.
The Maharaja College is sanctioned and recognized by the State Govt. of M.P. and NCTE with an affiliation to the Vikram University, Ujjain for conducting the B. Ed. Exams, D.Ed. from Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal. We have introduced M. Ed. Course from the session 2009-10 with an affiliation to Vikram University.
All graduate major offer specialization in various professional fields and meet the University’s requirement for the Bachelor of Education degree. Students completing the degree or 12th class are eligible for diploma courses and placing themselves as a teacher in the School Education Department as well as in private Schools.
Admission Criteria
Admission to the course is open to all those who fulfill the prescribed qualification irrespective of caste, regional, language or sex. The selection will be in accordance with   the guidelines issued by the State Govt. and Vikram University of Ujjain from time to time. An on line registration through MP Online has to done after notification from Deptt of Higher Education as per state govt. norms. Preference will be given to the Residents of Ujjain district on production of necessary residence certificate and study certificate issued by the competent authorities as per regulations. Twenty-five seats are reserved for out of state candidates.A candidates shall be eligible for admission to the degree of bachelor of education provided that he/she has taken the B.A. / B.Sc., M.A. / M.Sc. and degree in the concerned optional subjects of authorized Universities. He/she should also achieve a minimum 50% of marks in the Graduate level.
